Underwater horizontal traction of the spine
Underwater horizontal traction of the spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) is one of the methods for treating diseases of the spine. The procedure is carried out in a special bath with special belts fixed on the body, the patient is placed in a bath filled with radon water at an angle of 15 °, where dosed underwater traction is performed. The force with which the traction occurs is selected individually, taking into account the diagnosis, the severity of the disease, physique, weight, muscle development, age.
The procedure performed in warm radon water causes:
• Relaxation of spasmodic muscles
• Improves local blood circulation in the damaged segment
• activatation of regeneration process.
• increase of distance in the intervertebral segment, as a result of which the compressed (pinched) nerve is released
• Pain decrease, patient returns to normal, normal life
Underwater horizontal traction of the spine is used for:
• osteochondrosis of the spine
• protrusion and herniation of intervertebral discs
• discogenic - cervicolgia (pain in the cervical spine)
• discogenic - cervicalgia (pain in the cervical spine), lumboischialgia (pain in the lower back with irrigation to the lower extremities)
• spondylosis deformans, spondyloarthrosis
• postural disorder and curvature of the spine - scoliosis, kyphoscoliosis, hyperlordosis
